Aratamete's 3-pass blackout curtains consist of thick white lining fabric, high-density black yarn, and silicone finishing. You can have the option to add on a blackout lining to any night curtain. The thick white lining fabric serves as the base layer. 

On top of that, high-density black yarn is woven into the fabric to enhance light absorption and prevent any light from seeping through the window. To further enhance their blackout properties, the curtains undergo a silicone finishing process, making our curtains far more effective than single-layer laminated options.

Ordering blackout curtains from Aratamete is a straightforward, personalised process. 

Step 1 Showroom Consult: Book an appointment at our showroom to view our blackout curtain fabrics and colours. We highly encourage you to bring your floor plan for a more effective and personalised consultation. Please note that we currently do not provide on-site consults. 

Step 2 Quote: An indicative quote will be provided based on your floor plan and choice of curtain design, materials and track system. 

Step 3 Measurement and Quote Revision: After confirmation, we would request a 50% deposit, before we head down to your home to obtain actual measurements. The quote will be adjusted from there to reflect the actual measurements. From our experience, the prices may vary plus or minus 5 to 7% on average. 

Step 4 Installation: After confirmation of the revised quote, our team will get in touch with a tentative installation date, usually 5 to 6 weeks after the final measurement.

Price depends on fabric, drop, lining type and track system, so no two orders cost quite the same. The clearest way to get an accurate figure is a quick consultation, where we can walk through your windows and options.

Blackout curtains block light almost completely, while dim out curtains let in a soft, diffused glow rather than full darkness. If you want the room fully dark, choose blackout. If you prefer gentle morning light, dim out curtains are worth a look.
