  • Warranty Coverage: The warranty is valid for 1 year from the date of delivery and covers manufacturing defects, including holes in the rugs and abnormal shedding (a loss of 20% of the rug's total weight within a year).
  • Claim Process: To initiate a claim, please contact your designated sales representative with clear photos of defects and your order number.
  • Coverage: This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Inherent Variations: Given the individually handcrafted nature of our rugs, slight variations that are not considered faults or defects may exist:
    1. Size: Due to being handmade, the size may vary by up to 8% from the ordered size.
    2. Color: Our products are primarily made from natural and undyed fibers. While we strive to minimize color variation, some variance can be expected.
    3. Fading: Placing rugs in direct and continuous sunlight may cause fading. We recommend rotating the rug to reduce potential damage from natural light. Darker rugs are more prone to fading.
    4. Shading: Changes in pile and weave direction may lead to shading, a natural characteristic of carpets and rugs.
    5. Shedding: Handmade rugs may initially shed loose fibers. Regular vacuuming with a good quality upright vacuum cleaner is recommended to remove loose fibers. Avoid using a vacuum with a rotating drum.
    6. Pilling: Pilling may occur due to traffic, furniture movement, vacuuming, or other mechanical agitation. Contact your Sales Representative for advice.
    7. Placing Rugs on Carpet: Rugs are not designed to be placed on installed carpet. Aratamete cannot be held responsible for the performance of rugs placed on carpet, as it may lead to issues like 'rug-shuffle' or 'rug-creep'. We accept no responsibility for damage to sub-floors, including carpet. Proper maintenance programs will minimize damage to hard surfaces below.
    8. Sprouting: Short fibers may protrude while the rug settles or with furniture movement. This can be trimmed or pushed through without compromising structural integrity or aesthetic appeal.
  • Remedies: If a manufacturing defect covered by the warranty is confirmed, Aratamete Home will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective rug.
  • Limitations: Aratamete Home's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product and shall not exceed the original purchase price of the rug.
  • Transferability: This warranty is valid for the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners.

    Rugs Product Information

Our rug collection is handcrafted by skilled artisans, each boast unique characteristics, reflecting the human touch involved in their creation. Consequently, slight deviations in size or color are inherent to the handcrafted nature of these items and are not indicative of inferior quality or durability. Due to the artisanal craftsmanship each piece will have a slight variation between 5% - 8% of advertised dimensions, these unique variations are not deemed defective. We strive for accurate color representation in our images, employing high-resolution photography under normal lighting conditions to facilitate informed decision-making. However, variations in color perception may occur across different computer monitors. Should you require precise color matching for your project, please contact us to inquire about sample availability prior to placing an order. Color shade discrepancies, barring extreme cases, are not considered defects, and any returns would be subject to our standard return policy. Please note that most product photos depict medium rectangular rugs. Smaller or larger sizes, as well as different shapes, may result in variations in pattern appearance due to scale differences. We encourage you to consider this factor before making a purchase and are available via email at rugs@aratamete.com, to assist you in assessing how the design will scale. Aratamete endeavors to maintain current and accurate data on our website. However, we cannot be held liable for changes in product data, discontinuations, or typographical errors. As such, minor irregularities in size, texture, and color may occur and are considered acceptable. Some rugs with intricate designs and unique color patterns may require additional time for completion. Once the process of loom construction and material dyeing has commenced, cancellations or refunds cannot be accommodated.
